Moving out

I know I'm 'planning ahead' a bit, but I want to move out when I'm 18 or 19, I like being independent, it makes me feel better about myself somehow. Ruby and I want to rent an apartment together first, then when we both have a steady career, and enough money, we are each going to buy/rent our own houses. I think about my future a lot, like how I don't want kids, or a husband, I don't really like the idea of living in a house, that I have decorated and made nice to suit me, and then a guy comes in and messes it up and changes it, to suit him. kids are just as messy, plus they are so costly and they take up a lot of responsibility.
